Oracle and Google Cloud have extended their Oracle Database@Google Cloud offering to Australia, marking a strategic push into the Asia-Pacific multicloud market. The collaboration combines Oracle's enterprise-grade database solutions with Google Cloud's AI and analytics infrastructure, including Gemini models and Vertex AI.

Regional demand for hybrid cloud solutions drove the expansion, with Australian businesses now able to deploy Oracle's AI Database services on OCI within Google Cloud data centers. This addresses both performance requirements and strict data residency regulations.

The integration creates new pathways for enterprises to enhance decision-making through combined data analytics capabilities. Stephen Bovis, Oracle's regional lead for Australia and New Zealand, emphasized the growing preference for interoperable cloud solutions among enterprise clients.
